Round 10… A largely fruitful round in fantasy land for coaches with some big dogs putting up some uuuuuuge numbers! Conversely, the weekend was another reminder that we need to be ‘rookie recycling’ and getting them off the field in a hurry in the lead up to the all important byes.

Wowzers what a round of fantasy footy that was… Well, for some! Over a handful of players pumped out uuuuuge 150+ scores! Question is, did you have none, some or all of them?

8 down, 16 to go… Must be time for The Weekend That Was!
After a torrid round 6, coaches were treated to a nice high-scoring round from the fantasy gods! We had overperformances from premos to mid-pricers to rooks to everyone between – well, for the most part…
As always, plenty to rant and rave about!
7 down, 17 to go… Must be time for The Weekend That Was!
Round 3… It was a mixed weekend of footy as Fantasy coaches begin to settle on their squads! The curse of the late withdrawal struck leaving 10% of the competition scrambling for UDL-sized contingency plans… Other than that, we had the usual standouts mixed in with the mega spuds!
Round 2… Strangely, I can’t recall the last time most coaches dodged all the Thursday night bullets and had all their rookies hold! Fast forward to Sunday, and coaches would have been relatively pleased in what was a (mostly) high scoring round… Unless you own Max, in that case, ta da 2023.
And just like that, the footy is back! What a whirlwind of a Thursday and Friday evening coaches had scrambling to get their squads in order! Round 1 had it all… Read on for your first edition of The Weekend That Was for 2023!
And just like that we say goodbye to the 2022 Fantasy season… Hopefully you were able to bring some respectable scoring to the table to finish the season on a high, unlike yours truly who has been in complete damage control since about R10! Congratulations are in order for thousands of coaches who got the W while thousands of others will be wondering where it all went wrong.

And just like that, the big dance is finally upon us! That is, for the thousands of lucky bastards coaches who reigned supreme in prelim weekend! Undoubtedly a mixture of heartbreak and pure elation all over Fantasy land as losers bring on mad Monday and winners look ahead to the climax… Hopefully you are one of those playing for more than pride in round 23!
