BUY
Max Gawn ($779K RUC, MELB) – 162
That was tapped Max! If Melbourne had any question marks over their best big boy structure, there it was! If you don’t have the English/Ro combination Max has to be considered at <$800K. An absolute steal as the #1 man!
Luke Davies-Uniacke ($779K MID, NORF) – 138
Speaking of a man in form! This guy averages 130 in the past fortnight and has upcoming fixtures against St Kilda and West Coast who give up points for fun. Tasty stuff and an example of why we don’t necessarily need to select the most obvious or next highest averaging player on a line! I think LDU can push a 105 average until seasons end.
Touk Miller ($830K MID, GCS) – 108
Hasn’t this guy flown under the radar since returning a fortnight ago! With 97 and 108 and ever rising CBA’s, Touk is warming nicely and could be a cheeky underpriced option for those in the market. We know what he is capable of on his day and he appears to be confident in his body after a long layoff!
In the Mix: Lionel Messi, Rory Laird, Nas Wanganeen-Milera.
HOLD
Lachie Neale ($906K MID, BL) – 75
Not sure what was worse – this score or Brisbane’s choke of all chokes! Neale did recover in Q3 when the Lions were humming… He’ll be fine!
Tom Stewart ($821K DEF, GEEL) – 79
In Stewwy’s defence, he didn’t have a lot of work to do down at the Cattery on Saturday night. Prior to this he had a hat trick of tons so hold firm!
James ‘Sick Dog’ Sicily ($938K DEF, HAW) – 65
Wow… Plenty of coaches had high hopes for the Sic Dawg coming off his three week holiday. He proceeded to strum his chode for the best part of two hours! I still see big scores around the corner (as long as the taggers stay away!).
In the Mix: Hack Zak Butters, Jack Marecrae Macrae, Marcus Windhager.
FOLD
Ben Keays ($798K MID/FWD, CROM) – 70
Yeah okay maybe a little harsh but the facts are that a) Benny has done his job and b) His CBA numbers are all over the shop… Coaches will be encouraged by the 81% CBA’s on Sunday, however, the fortnight before he had 3% and 6% respectively! Enough reason to hold but if you can get to a big dog don’t miss an opportunity.
Matt Rowell ($752K MID, GCS) – 89
See yourself out please, Matt. Says me who will probably end up holding AGAIN… His last ton came in round 11. Round 11! Not here for it.
Sam Walsh ($766K MID, CARL) – 76
How many weeks can you continue to say he’ll come good until you lose your patience? I’ve sounded like a broken record over the past month going into bat for Walshy but the reality is, his form is not demanding selection! We have options a plenty either around that price range or up to the top dogs.
In The Mix: Pills Kills Callum Mills, Ben Hobbs, Matthew Johnson.
