BUY

Sam Walsh ($802K MID, CARL) – 90

I know what you’re thinking… “Walsh is in pox form” Yes, to an extent he is having not tonned since R11. However, you’re unlikely to see a player of this calibre much cheaper than this. IF you cannot get up to a big dog, Walsh could be your man! The inside mid role is always there and we know what he is capable of on his day.

Liam Henry ($583K MID/FWD, FREO) – 116

For those back in the pack in leagues and/or rankings, hear me out. Liam Henry on a wing is real! Freo like to play a high possession game with plenty of keepings off in the back half. He’s coming off 118 and 116 to be the form mid-price player of the competition. It could go utterly pear-shaped but if you are so far back in the pack what do you have to lose? High-risk, high-reward!

Harry Himmelberg ($606K DEF/FWD, GWS) – 94

Conducive back six role = greater scoring potential. Simples! In torrid conditions in Alice Springs, Himmelberg still managed a solid 94, albeit with 21 of those points from kick-ins. Many saw him as a cash grab from Yeo – he has shown in the past what he is capable of as a defender.

In the Mix: Elijah Hewett, Brad Crouch.

HOLD

Tim Taranto ($1.075m MID/FWD, RICH) – 80

In such a high scoring round, it was honestly weird to see Tim miss out! First time this season he has not eclipsed a ton. Everything you need to know about holding the legend.

Harry Sheezel ($769K FWD/DEF, NORF) – 106

The Sheez just keeps on keeping on! 3 round average of 99 and showing every bit why he was touted as a season-long keeper! If you’ve got problems elsewhere, no harm in holding the young gun!

Darcy Cameron ($728K RUC/FWD, COLL) – 58

Oooop that sucked! Cameron was hyped as an under-priced option for coaches heading into the final two months of the season… This score throws a spanner in the works but coaches will take solace knowing that Cammo still holds that #1 ruck spot firmly!

In the Mix: Rory Laird, Jack Steele, Seamus Mitchell.

FOLD

Jayden Short ($791K MID, RICH) – 25

The man had been solid as a rock since returning from injury in R6… Unfortunately for coaches, he went down with a hamstring injury early in the Tiges fixture with Brisbane. Must trade!

Haydone Young ($721K DEF, FREO) – 83

Was hyped as a nice R12 post-bye pick… Has proceeded to be nothing short of shite. Young has shown potential but has never really been able to put it together consistently! As coaches, we can’t be copping that so close to the end of the season. Time to move him on!

Kieran Briggs ($736K RUC, GWS) – 59

Well, it was fun while it lasted, Briggsy! The bubble was always going to burst and it happened Sunday arvo against the formidable Granwdy combination. I can see why many would hold given the match up was tough, but he won’t be mixing it with the biggest of the boys in the ruck department. Cash gen has dried up also!

In the Mix: Bazlenka Sm(n)iff, Jack Ziebell, Matt Rowell.
